review: vanilla sunrise perfume (forever 21)

There is something thrilling about a new bottle of perfume. It holds so many possibilities! Scents have been found to activate the emotion and memory centers of the brain, which means certain smells can trigger memories or emotional responses. Who knows what memories will be made while wearing the Vanilla Sunrise Eau De Parfum from Forever 21? I am certainly looking forward to finding out. (Fingers crossed the memories are good ones.) Here is a full review of this Forever 21 fragrance.

The Vanilla Sunrise Eau De Parfum from Forever 21 is described as "a soft and elegant fragrance that captures the warmth of a serene sunrise." It is intended to have both sweetness and sophistication. The fragrance notes listed on the box are vanilla bean, jasmine accord, and warm amber. Before reviewing the scent itself, a little time needs to be given to the bottle. I love the beautiful colours that were used. There is a bright pink cap with gold details and then the bottle itself is pink, orange, and green. The actual bottle design is simple, but the colours that were selected make it stand out from many others.

Now for the actual scent. Despite the fact that vanilla is in the name, the Vanilla Sunrise Eau De Parfum is a little light on the vanilla. The jasmine comes through most and the end result is something that is bright and floral. This is a very sweet scent that would be well suited to the spring and summer months. It is energetic, bold, and ideal for daytime wear. Since I have a bit of an obsession with vanilla scented products, it was disappointing that the vanilla did not come through as much. A little more vanilla would have made this scent warmer and more balanced. However, Vanilla Sunrise is still sweet and enjoyable.
