testing out fashionable fidget rings

There is a PopSocket on the back of my cell phone. Throughout the day, that PopSocket is popped back and forth, over and over again. While this is a functional item that makes it possible to hold onto my phone with ease, it is also a satisfying source of distraction when my anxiety spikes. Knowing this, my husband decided to look into fidget rings that could provide that same source of distraction. He found a set with several different options so I could test them out and see which style was best. Curious about fidget rings and whether they will work for you? There are six rings included in this set, with two of each fidget style. The rings are all adjustable, so they can be adjusted to fit any ring size. The first two shown above have small metal beads that can be moved along the length of each ring. (Don't worry...there are stoppers at each end, so you don't have to worry about the beads coming off.) This is my least favourite style, but this could work well for you depending on your personal preferences. I like that this set had different variations to test out.

The next set of rings has small metal beads that move within a small section. The first has flatter beads (which I like better) and the second has small round beads, similar to the previous two fidget rings. Though these are similar to the other two rings, with beads being able to move back and forth, I like that the beads are confined to a smaller space and do not travel the full length around the ring. These are my second favourite design from the set. I have worn the ring with the flatter beads a lot lately. I love that these ring designs are stylish, but still serve a purpose. I can channel nervous energy in a more discreet way.

The best were saved for last. The two rings shown above have small spinners. The first ring has a decorative bee design on one end and a large spinning flower on the other. The second ring has a simple stone on one end and a larger spinner on the other. These are my favourite rings from the set, because apparently, the spinning is a must for me. It is soothing and creates the perfect physical distraction. The larger spinner ring is easily the most stylish, with the addition of the coloured stones, but the second ring with the larger spinner is the one that I wear the most. The heavier stone results in a very satisfying spin. 

These fidget rings have been a positive addition to my day to day life. I am an anxious person in general and it is nice to have something physical that can redirect some of that anxious energy. These rings are grounding and provide a little distraction from mental clutter. Interested in trying some for yourself?
