It is no secret that perfume is a love of mine. Over the years, there have been plenty of
reviews and favourites lists on
the creation of beauty is art. dedicated to different scents. There is just so much to enjoy about perfume! From the stunning bottle designs to the actual fragrances...it all makes me happy. The most recent perfume in my collection? God Is a Woman from Ariana Grande. This was given to me over the holiday season and has been used many times since then. Now, it is time to share my thoughts about the packaging, the bottle design, and the scent itself. Ready to find out more? Here is everything you need to know about the latest perfume from musical phenomenon, Ariana Grande.
Ariana Grande has released eight fragrances so far. Though I don't have them all, there are quite a few of them in my current
perfume collection. Usually, her perfumes are sweet and fun. The bottle designs tend to be elaborate and colourful. For example, the heartbreak shaped bottle holder for Thank U, Next and the cloud shaped bottle holder for Cloud. When it comes to the God Is a Woman design, it is a little more understated than normal. Usually, there are soft pinks, purples, and blues involved. This time? There is a grey plastic container that houses the perfume bottle. It is chunky and seems to be gem-inspired...though it isn't as aesthetically pleasing as one would hope. Especially when the packaging for the God Is a Woman set featured an image of Ariana in a gorgeous purple dress surrounded by colourful flowers. For the actual bottle design to be so....grey....was a little unexpected. And a little disappointing, if I am being honest. All of my other Ariana perfumes are prominently on display on my perfume shelf, but this one is less likely to be up front and center.
This particular
Ariana Grande perfume set included the God Is a Woman Eau de Parfum Spray (3.4 fluid ounce bottle) and the Rollerball Duo (0.17 fluid ounces). The Rollerball Duo has one side that is the eau de parfum and the other side is parfum. While the bottle design may not be my favourite, the actual scent is far more complex than others released by Ariana. As I mentioned earlier, most of her perfumes are quite sweet and have almost a candy-like smell. (Which I happen to love. Anything sweet or food-scented is a must.) However, the God Is a Woman perfume is sweet but sophisticated. The top notes are pear and ambrette, the middle notes are orris and Turkish rose, and the base notes are Madagascar vanilla and sandalwood. The end result is something sweet, clean, and warm. This is really beautiful and is ideal for a night out. It is sweet but sophisticated...a wonderful combination. All in all, this perfume is a wonderful addition scent-wise.
Though a prettier bottle design would have been nice (and looked nice on my perfume shelf)...I can appreciate that she took a different approach this time. The actual God Is a Woman fragrance is lovely and has been a great little confidence boost.
