skin care love: oh k! face masks (sleep mask + mood mask)

Being home more often means that there is a little extra time to focus on skin care. This has definitely been a good thing! I've been trying to make use of some different face masks in my collection. Like the Oh K! Nourishing Overnight Hydration Sleep Mask with Hyaluronic Acid and the Oh K! Purifying Colour Change Mood Mask with Uplifting Grapefruit Oil. Both are from the same brand but are extremely different in terms of the scent, texture, and overall experience. Want to learn a little bit more about these Oh K! products? Oh K! Nourishing Overnight Hydration Sleep Mask. First up? This sleep mask (pictured above in the pink tube) is designed to treat you to smoother and healthier skin. It also claims to deliver "intense hydration for softer, brighter looking skin" and states that the mask is a hydrating cream formula that can be applied before bedtime and left on overnight. While this is called a sleep mask...it is really more of a nighttime moisturizer. The mask is a clear cream. It dries fairly quickly and leaves the skin feeling more nourished and pampered. However, the actual scent is fairly strong. It is a sweet floral kind of scent that is actually fairly relaxing (which is nice for nighttime use) but for those that do not like scented skin care products, that is something to be aware of before purchasing. All in all, I do like how the Oh K! Nourishing Overnight Hydration Sleep Mask works. It is quick and easy to apply and leaves my skin feeling soothed and hydrated. 

Oh K! Purifying Colour Change Mood Mask. I have to say...the idea of a colour changing mood mask totally sold me. Anything that changes colour is so fun and nostalgic for me. Plus, the fact that this mask is intended to boost your mood and make you smile is even better! It is the perfect face mask to choose when you are having a down day or just need something a little more whimsical and fun. The mood mask contains grapefruit oil (which really does smell super refreshing) and is intended to purify the skin. Best of all? The mood mask goes from blue to yellow as it dries. Such a fun little extra! Personally, I am really enjoying this mask. It smells amazing, leaves my skin feeling healthy, and has a fun colour changing detail. Something I will note, though, is that a little goes a long way. It is best to use a thin layer of the product. Otherwise, there will be more of a tingling sensation. Overall, the Oh K! Purifying Colour Change Mood Mask is an exciting and unique skin care product that is ideal for those days where you need a little pick-me-up or a healthy dose of TLC.

Skin care has definitely been more of a focus lately. Not just for me, but for a lot of people! I suppose that is what happens when you are stuck inside for more than a year due to a global pandemic. But at least it has given me the opportunity to put some of these Oh K! face masks to good use. The quality is impressive and the price point is fairly affordable (between $14 and $16 CDN.) Here is hoping my skin will look healthy, fresh, and glowing by the time the world is normal again.
