love it or leave it?

Gossip Girl is all about the fashion. It sports designer gowns and trend-setting looks. Which is why Blake Lively stood out at Gossip Girl's 100th Episode Party in New York City....but maybe not for the reason she should have.

The details on this gown are exquisite. Blake could have looked truly breathtaking at this event, had it not been for the fringe on the dress. Don't get me wrong - I love fringe! In this case, however, there was way too much going on. The long fringe completely distracted from the lovely details on the dress itself. It isn't even the fringe hanging from the shoulders that bothers me, but more the fringe near the bottom of the dress. I feel it took what could have been a sexy and sophisticated gown, to something entirely overdone.

What do you think of Blake's outfit? Love it or leave it?

  1. I'm so dissaponted with this look of hers :( she looks so cheap and I didn't think it would be possible for someone as stunning as Blake xx

  5. Somehow i Like it. Its so 20´s. Shaling around, showing some skin and the tassels :) Its may not the best dresses she was ever spotted in but not the worst :)

  6. I like the dress (maybe minus the front long tassels) but it looks too mature for her.

  17. I think less fringe would have made it a much more likeable dress. I think the way it actually is could be very polarizing.

  21. Love it! So original and detailed! :) It's gorgeous on her, but I don't think I'd have liked to wear it one day. It's only beautiful to stare at :P

  22. I personally do not like it. It looks cheap, as though they didn't know what else to make and just put lace and fabric together.

  28. It looks like a dress from the beginning of last century (1920). It's a dress for a star. I can't say that I like this dress but when you are as beautiful as this actress you can wear almost anything, maybe even a potatoes bag looks good on you (I don't know who this actress is, it's not the type of show I'm watching).

Sorry for my English, it's not my first language.

  33. No keep it - otherwise it's just a lacey dress that's been done before. The fringe adds something extra - I actually rather like and and think it suits her very well!
