So far, this theme week has included perfume reviews from Ariana Grande (thank u next 2.0) and Yves Saint Laurent (Mon Paris). The week is ending with a review of the Burberry Brit Eau De Parfum. This is another perfume that I was gifted for Valentine's Day and am finally reviewing here on the creation of beauty is art. Spoiler alert: this perfume is a standout.

When it comes to perfumes, many higher end fragrances do not tend to be my favourites. Often, the scents are quite heavy and can be overwhelming. My preference tends to be sweeter and lighter scents. However, there were two higher end perfumes that were gifted to me for Valentine's Day. One was from Burberry and the other from Yves Saint Laurent. During the remainder of this theme week, there will be reviews on both of them, starting with the YSL fragrances, Mon Paris.

A few perfumes were gifted to me during different holidays (Christmas and Valentine's Day) and I have been putting them to use ever since. "You see us as you want to see us - in the simplest terms. In the most convenient definitions." Though I can't remember the first time that I watched The Breakfast Club, I have many memories of watching it over the years. It used to play on television just about every weekend when I was a teenager, so plenty of my Sunday afternoons were spent learning from Claire, Bender, Brian, Allison, and Andy. It has long been one of my favourite movies, as so many John Hughes films seem to be. When my mom and I had a belated Valentine's Day celebration together, she gifted me a Physicians Formula set themed around The Breakfast Club. That visit was the last time things felt normal, so this theme week is a little bittersweet. Bitter, because so much has changed since that day. Sweet, because I recognize how lucky I am to have had lots of special celebrations with my family over the years. Despite the fact that there are still a lot of unknowns at the moment, my intention is to make sure the posts this week are full of love and nostalgia. The first post in this theme week is dedicated to the collection and a few mini reviews. In the days to come, there will be even more makeup reviews and makeup looks highlighting the different products.

With the recent release of the movie, it seemed only appropriate to embrace all of the excitement with some beauty related posts. The first post was dedicated to a collection with H&M (check it out here if you missed it) and this post is dedicated to an eyeshadow palette that I have been loving since its release. One/Size released the Wicked Unlimited Eye and Face Palette seven months back and it featured all sorts of Elphaba and Glinda inspired eyeshadows and blush shades. Whatever way our stories end, I know you have rewritten mine by being my friend. There is a lot to love about the musical, Wicked. The sets, the characters, and the music are all outstanding. I've been fortunate enough to see the live show a few times in my life and am eagerly looking forward to seeing the new movie. Wicked Part 1 is out now, but I have not made it to the theater just yet. Soon! Very soon! It has arrived...the end of this Twilight inspired theme week. Thanks to the generosity of my friend, there have been all sorts of Twilight x ColourPop items reviewed here on the creation of beauty is art. over the last several days. That includes eyeliners, highlighters, lip oils, and body shimmers. The grand finale? The Twilight Eyeshadow Palette. It is no secret that eyeshadows make me happy. I love expressing myself with different colours and finishes. How does this particular palette perform? And how does it compare to other ColourPop palettes? It's all Twilight all the time here on the creation of beauty is art. The second post in this theme week is dedicated to the SOL Shimmering Dry Body Oil and Graphix Ink Liner from the Twilight x ColourPop collection. As mentioned in my last post, these wonderful items were gifted to me by one of my oldest friends. I have been putting everything in the collection to good use in the last few weeks. One thing is certain: these themed beauty products have been adding a little extra dose of fun to my days! They have also inspired me to do a full rewatch of the movies. These days, I am fully immersed in the world of Twilight.

Say it. Out loud. Say it! .....vampire. It is hard to know exactly when my love of Twilight began, but I was posting about the movies way back in 2011 and read the books before the the movies were released. So, at some point or another, Twilight became a meaningful part of my life. I loved the intensity, the drama, and the romance. But for the record, I have always been and will always be Team Jacob! The day before my latest birthday, I was able to see one of my oldest friends for lunch. She was kind enough to drive down and take me out for my favourite meal. During that lunch, she gifted me the entire Twilight x ColourPop collection. Talk about being spoiled rotten. Her kindness and thoughtfulness was completely overwhelming. I did not feel deserving - and still do not feel deserving of all the Twilight goodness. Despite that feeling, I am also extremely grateful. Since that day, I have been having a lot of fun putting these Twilight inspired products to the test. Ready for another theme week? kylie cosmetics theme week: lip kit in 705 charm

What better way to end the Kylie Cosmetics theme week here on the creation of beauty is art. than with a lip kit review? This is what the brand is most known for....lip kits that include both a lip liner and liquid lipstick. Being honest, there are an awful lot of lip kits in my makeup collection, because the Kylie Cosmetics lip products are some of my favourites. A lot of the time, I wear the 808 Kylie lip liner on its own for something quick, easy, and colourful. This time, the focus is on the shade 705 Charm.

Ahh....home sweet home. I am back from a week away at a cottage with my family (more on that in the days to come) and am slowly settling back into my routine. That means catching up on work, laundry, cleaning, my favourite television shows, and all the rest. There seemed to be no better time for a theme week here on the creation of beauty is art. Not only do I love a good theme, but I am excited to review some Kylie Cosmetics items over the next several days. As I have stated before, I am a fan of the Kardashian/Jenner family, but I am also really into Kylie Cosmetics products. Generally speaking, I love the soft pink packaging and the overall quality. disney theme week: minnie mouse x revolution palette

I love makeup. I love Disney. Put them together? It is an unbeatable match. When the All Eyes on Minnie Palette from Revolution was at Winners (always Winners...what can I say...I love a good deal) for $9 CDN, it only made sense to add it to my cart.
