wicked theme week: h&m clothing haul

Whatever way our stories end, I know you have rewritten mine by being my friend. There is a lot to love about the musical, Wicked. The sets, the characters, and the music are all outstanding. I've been fortunate enough to see the live show a few times in my life and am eagerly looking forward to seeing the new movie. Wicked Part 1 is out now, but I have not made it to the theater just yet. Soon! Very soon! Until I am able to experience the movie for myself, some Wicked inspired merchandise has been adding happiness to my days. This week on the creation of beauty is art. the posts will be Wicked themed. There will be makeup looks and product reviews in the days to come. Today? Here are some Wicked themed clothing items from H&M. 

Truth be told, the H&M collection inspired by Wicked was not on my radar. I hadn't heard about it at all, but was absolutely thrilled to receive several items from the line for my birthday last month. I was immediately obsessed with all of the pieces. As you can see, there were a lot of fabulously themed items in the collection. Ready for a closer look? Here are all of the items...

Wicked Themed Sweatshirts. My husband often says that I have too many sweatshirts. This very well may be true, but there is something about a sweatshirt that makes me happy. My style has certainly evolved over the years, shifting from blouses, dresses, and cute prints, to a rotation of sweatshirts and jeans. Yes, these days, my confidence is highest when I am wearing my favourite pair of jeans and a cute sweatshirt. I don't know if this will always be the case, but for now, I am enjoying my casual and comfy era. These Wicked themed sweatshirts fit perfectly into this era. The first is a loose-fit black sweatshirt with distressed details. The Wicked logo on the front is raised and the sweater has a very lived in look. It is my favourite item out of everything, because there is something about a distressed crew neck sweatshirt that makes me smile. The other sweatshirt is a grey hoodie with the Wicked logo printed in silver on the back. The zipper pull is even Wicked inspired! It is a cute and comfortable way to embrace my inner Elphaba and Glinda. I also love that this can be worn over a Wicked t-shirt from the line.

Wicked Themed T-Shirts. Speaking of Wicked t-shirts from the line....two were gifted to me for my birthday this year. Both are made of a thicker material (which is something I really like about most H&M t-shirts) and are a lot of fun. The black shirt has a still from the Wicked movie. I love the bright colours and how the image stands out against the black. This is the ideal shirt to wear underneath that zipped hoodie. The other shirt has an embroidered W on the front and on the back, there are more embroidered logo letters and a picture of both characters in black and white. It is a really beautiful design.

Wicked Inspired Purse. The last item in this H&M x Wicked haul is a purse inspired by the movie. It has an unusual shape and the Wicked inspired W on the clasp. This will be the perfect purse to wear when I see the movie. I love the unique shape, magnetic fastener, and the fact that this still has a zipper. Everything will be safe and secure with this themed accessory.
