According to the brand, the Wisp Lash Mascara from Kylie Cosmetics delivers separation and feathery, wispy lashes without clumps, flakes, or smudges. The mascara is vegan, cruelty free, and costs $33 CDN. The packaging is sleek and simple and the wand is fairly standard. The bristles are wider on the bottom and then taper inward slightly. There is nothing groundbreaking about the design, but it does what it is supposed to do. When it comes to the actual product, there are some pros and cons, depending on your personal preferences. The pros? This mascara is ultra dark and adds instant drama to the lashes. (And I personally love a dramatic lash look.) It also lasts really well and does not smudge or flake. I wore the Wisp Lash Mascara to a concert with my husband and it stayed put flawlessly throughout the night. The mascara also adds lots of length to the lashes.
Now for the con. Though this mascara claims to delivery separation and feathery, wispy lashes, this can actually make the lashes stick together a fair bit. It can make the lashes look clumpy and thick. Now, I will be honest and say that I kind of like that ultra thick lash look from time to time (it can be bold and dramatic and fun) but this does not meet the brand claims. Out of the Kylie Cosmetics mascaras that I have tried so far, the Kylash Volume Mascara is preferable to the Wisp Lash Mascara.
Have you tried the Wisp Lash Mascara? What mascara are you using right now?
Sounds like it would be pretty good.
ReplyDeleteI had never used a mascara from Kylie cosmetics.
Happy new week <3
Thank you! I hope you have a great week as well <3
DeleteThanks for your review
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comment!
DeleteIt sounds good. I don't use mascara.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely nice to try out different ones!
DeleteI think that Kylie cosmetics products are (generally) pretty overpriced for the quality, so I tend to skip this brand, for this is pretty nice to read a review about them, so that I can an idea about without have to buy!^^
ReplyDeleteIn fact honestly I wouldn't buy this mascara, at least I'd go for the another one!

It's definitely nice to have an idea about how a product performs before taking the plunge, especially when the prices are a little higher!
DeleteOh that's too bad about the CG mascara being discontinued! That happens a lot of with products I like too, esp with Revlon. Sigh....but thanks for the honest review as always. I'll keep an eye out on that Kylash one instead of this one then.
ReplyDeleteWhy does that always happen?! It is so frustrating! Brands always seem to discontinue the best products.
DeleteI had a really great time and I can't wait for all the festivals this year, I like this year a lot :D <3 Thanks a lot.
ReplyDeleteYes this magnet is really cute =) Thanks.
Oh yes my week was great. I love to do wellness at home =)
Great review.
I like the packaging of this mascara, it's clean but looks good.
The mascara sounds interesting, especially that it adds lots of length to the lashes. But it's sad that the lashes stick together, that's not so good.
Yes, the packaging is really wonderful! I do like that part of it :D
DeleteGreat review! It’s always frustrating when a holy grail product gets discontinued. The Wisp Lash Mascara sounds like a solid choice for drama and length, but it’s interesting that it doesn’t quite live up to its claims of separation. Still, it’s good to know it holds up for long wear! Might have to check out the Kylash Volume Mascara instead.
ReplyDeleteIt really is! I hate when that happens!
DeleteA favourite product being discontinued is always frustrating! I used to use quite a few Cover Girl products in the past, but the brand doesn't seem to be available anymore around here. That said, I haven't been using mascara a lot due to the problem with my left eye, but I've been on the lookout for the perfect one for absolutely ages. Ideally it should be one which doesn't make my lashes stick together or look clumpy so I don't suppose this is the one for me! xxx
ReplyDeleteRight? It is so frustrating. That's too bad that Cover Girl isn't in your area anymore. I hope you find the right mascara for you! :D
