current obsession: kylie cosmetics lip kit in exposed

There are all sorts of lipsticks and lip products in my collection. Some of those products are bold (like black lipstick, bright purple, and even blue) while others are more suited to everyday looks. Out of all the lip products that are available to me, the products that I reach for most come from Winky Lux and Kylie Cosmetics. With the Winky Lux items, it is the fact that the pH lip balms provide colour and hydration without maintenance. With Kylie Cosmetics, it is the fact that the colours are warm and beautiful...and the products stay put. Low maintenance makeup is always my favourite. Worrying about products moving, flaking, or shifting is not my idea of a good time. I want makeup that stays where I applied it. That is the reason another Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit has been added to my collection. These lip kits are an example of low maintenance products that work.

The Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits always come with two products: a lip liner and matte liquid lipstick. Having compatible lip products always makes life a little easier. I also happen to enjoy the formula of both. The lip liners tend to be colourful and creamy. The creaminess makes the application process easier. Despite the creamy formula, the lip liner doesn't shift and smudge. It stays put! Then there is the matte liquid lipstick. This all comes down to personal preference. I love the fact that the liquid lipsticks dry down and do not move throughout the day. It is nice to not have to worry about lipstick transfer or needing to reapply. (As I said before, makeup that is low maintenance is my preference. I worry about most things in life, so it is nice to not have to worry about my makeup moving around or fading strangely.) The formula for both products is something that I like...which is why it is always tempting to add more colours to my collection. There are many colours available, but a lot of them are on the warm pink side. Since I have a serious weakness for brown lipsticks, it was Exposed that caught my eye this time around.

As you can see, this colour is a nice easy to wear brown. It isn't too dark, but still makes a statement. It also pairs well with a lot of different makeup looks. There is just something about brown lipstick that I like (maybe it is the 90s kid in me that keeps returning to this kind of style). Exposed is a fantastic colour. The lip liner works well on its own and the liquid lipstick makes sure the colour lasts and lasts. The products in this Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit have been in heavy rotation lately...and I feel confident that will continue to the best case in the months to come. The Exposed lip kit is a current favourite.

Have you tried any products from Kylie Cosmetics? What lipstick colours do you like to wear?

  6. I'm glad to read you found your go-to brands for lipstick. I've been using Maybelline Superstay Matte lipstick for years, but lately I'm finding it is making my lips dry and flaky. Time to look for an alternative which doesn't budge! xxx

    1. Oh that's a shame. Perhaps the formula was changed slightly! I hope you're able to find something similar!
