When it comes to makeup, skin care, and beauty products, my loved ones spoil me from time to time. They might pass along something that was included in a subscription box or spoil me with a product that they saw while out and about. That is what happened recently when a loved one gifted me the Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser from Belif. I have tried the popular moisturizer from this brand, but not the cleanser, so it was a nice treat to put it to the test. Keep reading for all of the pros and cons.
Cons: There are some negatives to consider with this cleanser as well. The biggest drawback in my opinion is the scent. This smells just like lemon floor cleaner. It is a strong scent that is quite unpleasant to me. (Obviously, everyone has different preferences, so it is possible the scent would not be an issue for you.) The other con is the price, since it is $40 CDN for 160 ml of product. There is quite a lot of product included and it will last for a long time, but this is not an inexpensive cleanser.
Is the Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser from Belif something that I would purchase in the future? Probably not, because scent is quite off-putting to me. The cleanser works well and there is no doubt that I will finish off this bottle...but the scent is not something that I am likely to seek out on my own in the future. It is a shame, because this is gentle on the skin and effective.
Have you tried the Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser from Belif before? What did you think of it?
Very interesting post. I don't know this brand but this products sound good. But it's not so good that it smells like a lemon floor cleaner :D
ReplyDeleteSome posts from the last weeks (7. and 15. August) have a low reach =( Can you write some short comments, that would be nice <3
Thank you for the review, I'm very picky regarding fragrances, so I wouldn't purchase this ....
ReplyDeleteI like how it looks but don't know it.

Your review is incredibly helpful because it's so honest and balanced. It's great that you highlighted the gentle and hydrating qualities of the cleanser, which are so important, but it's equally useful to know about the strong scent. It's amazing how a scent can completely change the experience of a product, even if it performs well. It's a shame when a good product is held back by something like that.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great, balanced review! It's super helpful to hear about both the pros and cons, especially when it comes to things like scent and price, which are so personal. It's a shame the lemon scent was a deal-breaker for you, because it sounds like the product itself is otherwise fantastic for dry skin. Thanks for the honest take!

A cleanser which doesn't make one's skin feel dry or tight after use must be a winner ... but not if it's got an off-putting scent, obviously. What a shame, particularly for an expensive product like that! xxx
ReplyDeleteThe fact that the cleanser doesn't dry out your skin is great. However, the smell isn't so great.
