my favourite fall perfumes (fall 2025)

Different perfumes seem to call my name at different times of year. Sometimes, there is consistency and other times, it comes down to whatever fits my mood at that particular moment. This fall season, there have been a handful of perfumes and body mists in heavy rotation. So, it made sense to highlight them here on the creation of beauty is art. Here are some favourites.

The first two scents on this list are easily the most used. This fall, my favourite body mist is one that I found randomly from Forever 21. It is Vanilla Amber and it has warm vanilla, amber crystal, and brown sugar sandalwood. It was warm, cozy, and the perfect addition to the fall season. The second scent shown is Mod Vanilla from Ariana Grande. It has top notes of musk, plum, and pink fressia, middle notes of praline and orris root, and base notes of vanilla and cacao butter. This scent is also warm and cozy. Both of these can be used as room sprays or perfumes...and have been making this season feel extra special. 

The other two favourite fall perfumes are ones that have been in my collection for a long time. The first is With Love...Hilary Duff. Obviously, celebrity perfumes had a moment back in the day and I absolutely loved that time. The top notes are spices and mangosteen, the middle notes are cocobolo and mangosteen blossom, and the base notes are amber and musk. I love this perfume so much (and have a backup bottle after finishing one up back in the day) and have been wearing it a lot this season. The last on this list is another one that has been in my collection for many years, Ambition by Jordin Sparks. The top notes are white tea, bitter orange and lemon, the middle notes are mint, raspberry, seaweed, woody notes, and black currant, and the base notes are benzoin, sandalwood, Tahitian vanilla, and white musk. Basically, a very long way of saying this perfume is smells amazing. It is both warm and fresh. It has a bright and vibrant quality, but still manages to feel very grounded. 

Clearly, there are some common ingredients in a lot of these fragrances that I have been loving recently: amber, vanilla, and sandalwood. It has been so nice to reach for these warm and comforting scents throughout the fall season.
