revisited review: halloween town eyeshadow palette

Halloween is steadily creeping closer...which means this is the ideal time for a revisited review here on the creation of beauty is art. Last year, the Halloween Town eyeshadow palette from Melt Cosmetics was added to my makeup collection and it has been used ever since. Ready to find out what eyeshadow shades are the standouts? And take a look at what was created most recently? Keep reading for a revisited review of this seasonal release inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas movie.

As a reminder, the Halloween Town eyeshadow palette from Melt Cosmetics has an assortment of seasonal colours. There are purples, blues, greens, and some metallic shades. There is a mixture of matte and shimmer shadows, which makes this a colourful and versatile eyeshadow palette. The packaging is fabulous - and I love the commitment to the theme. The eyeshadows are colourful, a little on the spooky side, but still playful and fun to use. (On another note. Please forgive me for this next sentence, but I am trying to find out whether an actual person is stealing my blog posts or if it is a bot of some sort. So...mansafashion.com is a trash website that steals content. Viktoria Arnold is not a real person. All content on the mansafashion website is obtained through content theft.) Though there are a lot of wonderful colours in the Halloween Town eyeshadow palette, there are a few that I have been using more than others. My favourites are Gone Again (metallic burnt orange), Ooze (deep teal blue), and Worm's Wort (bright purple with pink sparkles). Those are the ones that I have used most.

There are a lot of exciting eyeshadow shades in Halloween Town, but some are better than others. I have tried to use some of the less pigmented shades (like Mausoleum, which is drier than the others and acts more like an eyeshadow topper than a standalone shade) as much as possible, but I do find myself returning to the standouts more than the rest. For the makeup look above, it was the metallic shades and that matte teal blue that were used. Ooze was applied to the outer portion of the eyelid and blended in. The colour was packed on near the outer corner and then faded in so there was room for a little extra sparkle. The metallic burnt orange, Gone Again, was applied over the teal blue, and then the metallic chartreuse, Oogie Boogie, was applied to the inner portion of the lid. These shimmery metallics made the dark matte shade even more dramatic.

After using the Halloween Town eyeshadow palette from Melt Cosmetics this last year, there is still a lot to enjoy. The theme is wonderful and there are some seriously fabulous eyeshadow shades included. However, there are some eyeshadows that do not perform as well. Despite my best efforts, those are not reached for nearly as often as the ones that work - and work well.
