2 looks 1 palette: essence dancing green eyeshadow palette

As you can see, the Essence Dancing Green Eyeshadow Palette has a nice combination of shimmers and mattes. There are six shades in total, with many different shades of green. Even some of the shades that don't necessarily look green in the pan have a green kind of finish. For instance, the first shade on the bottom row (Watch That Scene) is a greenish brown colour. The last shade on the bottom row (Only Seventeen) is a silvery green shade. The only shadow here that has no green to it is the first shade in the palette (You Can Dance). That is a nice cream shade that can be used to blend everything out. The Dancing Green Eyeshadow Palette is themed after the colour green, of course, but also the classic Abba song, "Dancing Queen." All of the eyeshadow names are inspired by the song and the band. For only $4.99 CDN, there is a drugstore eyeshadow palette that is clearly themed, has shade names, and a combination of finishes. Look #1: Shimmer and Shine

There are some really fun shimmery shadows in this palette. So, when it came time to create looks for this 2 looks 1 palette post...I needed to put them to good use. I started with Night Is Young (matte green) through the crease and outer corner. Then on the lid, there was Rock Music (dark green shimmer) and Feel The Beat (light green shimmer). On the inner corner, there was a bit of Only Seventeen (silvery green). A bit of liner and mascara finished off the look. A bit of peach blush on the cheeks and then a bit of peach gloss on the lips completed this simple but still kind of glamorous creation. 

Look #2: Matte Meets Matte

As for the second look? This was something ultra casual for a day at home. So, I decided to test out the different matte shades in the palette. Watch That Scene (greenish brown) was applied all over the lid and then a bit of Night Is Young (matte green) was applied through the crease. I blended everything out with You Can Dance (cream) and also applied that in the inner corner. Along the lower lash line was a healthy dose of Night Is Young to make the look super smokey. I skipped my usual winged liner and just smudged a bit of pencil liner along the lash line. Then there was a bit of mascara, the blush from The Needs Palette on the cheeks, and Turkish Delight from NARS on the lips. This looks was simple, but still had a bit of drama going on.
