reviews: new drugstore makeup

Over the last little while, I have tried a few new drugstore makeup products: Maybelline BB Cream, Maybelline Fit Me Blush and Rimmel's Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer.  I have had mixed reactions to these products, and wanted to share my thoughts with you!

Maybelline BB Cream in Light: 

Though this product looks quite dark when you put it on your skin, it blends perfectly to match your skin tone. There are other BB Creams that I prefer to this one, but I do like that the colour isn't too dark. It provides a nice light coverage and adds a lot of moisture to the skin. Personally, I like a fuller coverage, so I wouldn't be comfortable wearing this as is. However, it's a great base. Recently I've been using this and then applying my foundation over top to get even more coverage. If you are looking for a BB Cream that is moisturizing and light, then this will work really well for you! It comes in great variety of shades as well. Overall, a decent product!

Maybelline FIT Me Blush in Light Mauve:

I love this! The blush is really buildable, so you're not getting a ton of product on your cheeks all at once. The colour that I chose is Light Mauve, which is natural but sexy. This is great for an everyday blush or for really playing up a dark smokey eye. I have found myself reaching for this blush a lot lately!

Rimmel's Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer:

This concealer claims to conceal and highlight the under eye area. It doesn't provide a whole lot of coverage, but it does brighten the under eye area really well. As a concealer, I would say this is a miss. As an under eye brightener, however, this product is great! It looks really beautiful on the skin. It is a shame that the coverage wasn't better, but I am liking this product to brighten the under eye.
