does it work?? precision beauty retinol forehead mask

Forehead wrinkles. Ahh...how I loathe them! While most people develop wrinkles and lines over time, my forehead has had lines on it for as long as I can remember. Kids at school would scrunch up their foreheads and the lines would disappear as soon as they stopped. Mine didn't disappear. They were always visible. I don't know if the forehead lines are the result of my dry skin or genetics...but it is something that I have been self-conscious about for a very long time. Over the years, I have tried an awful lot. Moisturizers, lotions, serums, and everything in between. Nothing seems to make a significant or noticeable difference in the appearance of those forehead lines. No matter what I seem to do, they remain.

That is where Precision Beauty comes in. Recently, I've been trying out some of their forehead masks. Yes. You read that right. Forehead masks! The Anti-Aging Retinol Forehead Mask claims to help improve the appearance of wrinkles for "age-defying results" as well as rejuvenate and tone the skin. It is phthalate and paraben free, is made in Korea, and targets the most wrinkle prone area of the face. Essentially, this is like a traditional face mask but it only covers the forehead. Since this certainly seems to be my problem area, that targeted attention was all too appealing....but does it work??

The Precision Beauty mask is applied to the forehead for 20 to 30 minutes or until dry. Most masks that I've tried don't need to be left on for more than 15 minutes, so this one was slightly different. In terms of the scent, it was floral and bright but a little heavy. Not my favourite smell. As for actually wearing the mask, it was fairly comfortable and effortless. The mask also had a pleasant cooling effect on the skin. I popped it on while watching a show on Netflix and sat back to wait for the results.

When I removed the forehead mask, there were a few notable side effects. My forehead quickly became red and irritated. It also felt quite warm. These side effects lasted for a few hours and then my skin returned to normal. (Though it did feel a bit sensitive for the rest of the day.) Clearly, these forehead masks aren't messing around with the retinol. I waited another week or so before using another mask. And another week after that. Sure, I want results, but I also want to make sure that I am taking care of my skin in the process. If you are trying these forehead masks for yourself, my recommendation would be to go slow. Maybe start with 10 minutes instead of the recommended 20 to 30 minutes.

So....does it work?? It is hard to say. The Precision Beauty Retinol Forehead Mask didn't magically make all of those long-standing lines vanish. Even after multiple uses. However, it is important to remember that with any skin care products, time and consistency are key. Fingers crossed these masks are making a positive difference.

Have you tried any Precision Beauty products? Are you a fan of face masks?
