With parties, award ceremonies, and galas galore, there has been an abundance of amazing fashion lately! Here are a few of my favourite recent examples.

The last few weeks have been pretty busy! I've been lucky enough to go to a bunch of fantastic concerts as well as spend time with some really important people in my life.

what inspires you, what excites you when you wake up in the morning?

Jennifer Aniston is a classic beauty. When it comes to her red carpet style, she truly embodies this classic sophistication. At the premiere of her latest film, Wanderlust, Jennifer looked radiant. The classic cut of the dress is simply perfect. I love the leather accents on the dress, and the subtle mixing of patterns to create a flattering silhouette. The zig-zag pattern along the side of the dress is just gorgeous! I also really love her simple gold accessories and basic black heel.

One photograph can change your mood entirely. It can reveal a particular emotion, feeling, or hope.

When I came across the following photo of Lindsay Lohan, I was immediately taken by it. Of course I was enamored by the retro styling, but also the ease of the photograph. I love the position of the arms, and the sultry, powerful, yet resigned look in her eyes.

When I came across Maybelline's Super Stay 10 Hour Stain Gloss, I was immediately intrigued. What girl doesn't want to have a sexy, kiss proof lip gloss that will last all night??

The stain gloss comes in ten different shades. (There are some really gorgeous, vibrant pink colours that I want to try out!) However, I went with Ravishing Red to start - nothing beats a gorgeous red lipstick.

this is a ludicrous situation. i can think of a dozen men who are just longing to use my shower.

There were so many things I planned on posting about today, but things don't always go as planned. So, on a sleepy Sunday morning, I turned Audrey.

Charade is one of my favourite Audrey Hepburn films. With the electric presence of Audrey and Cary Grant, mystery, intrigue, and romance is in full swing.

Phew! The last week or so has been a busy one! Between work, a social life, and a couple of concerts, I feel like I've only been home to sleep! With a packed schedule this weekend as well, I don't know when I'll have a chance to get caught up on everything. Here is hoping I will figure it out!

This post is dedicated to one of my favourite fashionable celebrities - Paris Hilton. She rocked the Grammy red carpet last week! I haven't been able to get her dress out of my head since I saw it. I love absolutely everything about it.

Christian Siriano really is a big deal. From Project Runway to his latest collection, his talent is unmistakable.

Christian showcased his Fall 2012 collection earlier this week. The collection features cool greys, black, and burgundy. The pieces are both wearable, but still maintain Christian's signature dramatic flair. From leather jackets, to ruffled evening gowns, Christian Siriano's latest collection is simply wonderful.

What really stuck me about this collection was the combination of regal elegance and femininity with an almost gothic edge. Here are a few of my favourite pieces from the collection!

love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone, but still getting weak knees when they walk into a room and smile at you.

Tomorrow is February 14th - Valentine's Day. While there are many quick to point out the commercialization of this particular holiday, I love everything about it. Single or attached has never really mattered to me. I love the idea of romance, candy hearts, and cherishing those you love.

Bomb Girls is a Canadian mini-series that just ended it's first six episode run last week. High ratings for the show have made it the #1 New Canadian Original Drama of 2011/2012. Twelve more episodes have been ordered - very exciting news! The show focuses on a group of women working in a munitions factory during the second world war. There is plenty of drama, from forbidden relationships to defying expectations, and claiming independence.

Last week, I made a post about receiving my first Luxe Box. In it was this beautiful Essie nail polish in Heavenly Sunset. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to have painted nails where I work, but since I have the next three days off, I decided to try out this new colour!

The polish is really fantastic quality. I only needed to do one coat because it was so thick. I adore the colour as well, it is totally me. I wish I could have my nails painted all the time! Until then, I will have to settle for three days of pretty nails!

Zoey Deschanel is kind of perfect. Through music, movies and TV, Zoey captures the hearts of people everywhere. It is easy to fall in love with her quirky, fun style. Basically, I adore her. When it comes to her fashion sense, Zoey perfectly channels a flirty retro chic style. I love the vintage feel her clothes have, along with the cute patterns, colours, and shapes of her dresses. There is a youthful vibrancy in her wardrobe.

the heart has reasons that reason does not understand.

I love getting dressed up. There is something calming to me about the process. From selecting the outfit and accessories, to perfecting the hair and makeup, it is enjoyable. Which is why, any excuse I have to get dressed up is exciting.

Deciding on a sweet, heart printed dress, heart shaped earrings, and my heart shaped Tiffany necklace, I realized I must have hearts on the brain! Maybe this is because Valentine's Day is quickly approaching.

hair is terribly personal, a tangle of mysterious prejudices.

The excitement of having the weekend off has led to me being rather productive thus far! I have been trying to catch up on some of the things I have been neglecting recently. One of which, was getting my hair cut! I kept putting it off, because gosh, is it expensive. It turned out really great though - nothing crazy, just better.

I am hoping to continue my productive streak for the rest of my weekend off. What are your plans this weekend?

contemplation seems to be about the only luxury that costs nothing.

One of my Christmas gifts this year, was a six month Luxe Box subscription. I adore trying out new products, so this was such a perfect gift for me! Much to my excitement, my very first Luxe Box arrived a few days ago!

the more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.

Today I feel like celebrating - my blog hit 300 followers! When I first began this blog, I never imagined things could come this far. It is always exciting to pause, reflect, and realize the progress you've made.
