Sometimes, there are makeup looks that remain on my camera but never make it into an actual blog post. There might have been something specific that I felt like writing about (which ultimately bumped a planned post) or certain makeup photos simply managed to get lost in the shuffle. This post is dedicated to those random makeup looks. Here are a few recent ones.
Neutral Glam Makeup Look. Still high on my list of loves is the
Ozian Forest Eyeshadow Palette from r.e.m. beauty. In addition to the green and gold eyeshadow shades, there are all sorts of beautiful neutrals. One of my favourites is the shade Wickedly Wonderful, which was used generously in this makeup look. The two lightest matte shades were applied on the lid and then Wickedly Wonderful was blended through the crease for a little extra drama. Some eyeliner and mascara finished off the eyes. There was a bit of bronzer applied to the cheeks as well. Most of this makeup look was fairly neutral, making sure the eyeshadow look was the main attraction. One thing is certain: the Ozian Forest Eyeshadow Palette continues to wow.
Warm and Colourful Makeup Look. Lately, the warmer and more colourful eyeshadows in my makeup collection have been calling to me. I've been focused on the colours of the leaves when they turn: red, orange, yellow. I tried to channel that inspiration into the makeup look above, though it did not turn out exactly as planned. The
Rainbow Sharts Shadow Palette from Kim Chi Chic Beauty was used to create this ultra shimmery eyeshadow look. I love how bold the shimmers are in this eyeshadow palette. They definitely make a statement! I tried to add a little colour on the lips as well, but it was a little more subdued than anticipated. All in all, this was a colourful and easy to wear makeup look, even if it did not turn out perfectly.

Bold Shimmery Makeup Look. Truth be told, I cannot remember what eyeshadow palette was used to create the look above. I do remember creating this makeup look to meet up with
an old friend fairly recently. The intention was to create something that was bold and dramatic, but still suitable for a casual get together. (I always feel more confident with a smokey eye makeup look.) Shimmer eyeshadows will always be my weakness, so this time around, there were some dramatic shimmers used. A dark eyeshadow shade was then worked through the crease for an eyeshadow look that had lots of contrast.
