New clothes are exciting. From the moment you order them (or purchase something from a retail store), there is energy in the air. It is almost like a thrill or a beautiful sense of anticipation. Quickly, you start to think about all the places you will wear them, how you will feel, and the memories you will make in them. Yes, I believe that clothing is an incredible source of inspiration. Which is why I was so eager for my order from Zaful to arrive. Surely there would be wonderful pieces to make my spring and summer even more fabulous. So....how were the items? Here is a closer look at my experience with Zaful.
Short Sleeve Letter Boyfriend T-Shirt
The first item that I added to my shopping cart was the t-shirt, pictured above. It is the Short Sleeve Letter Boyfriend T-Shirt and it immediately made me smile. I love the simplicity of the grey t-shirt and the fact that it is funny and oh-so-true. When I put this on, the fit was perfect. It was comfortable but fitted in all the right places and just so slightly cropped. I am obsessed with the fit, the hilarious message, and the fact that this will look good with absolutely everything. It is a fun twist on a basic t-shirt and I am thrilled to have it as part of my spring and summer wardrobe.
Velvet Two Tone Wrap Dress - Blue and Pink
You may remember that this piece made my recent Zaful wishlist. It is the Velvet Two Tone Wrap Dress - Pink and Blue. There is nothing more exciting to me than a velvet dress, except a velvet dress that comes in two gorgeous shades! I have a total velvet obsession. Needless to say, I was pretty eager to try this dress on, but as beautiful as the fabric is, this dress did not work well for me. The fit around the chest area was tight in some areas and hung loose in others. Talk about a letdown. Though I like the wrap dress style, the colours, and the fabric, this simply did not fit well on my body type.
Cotton Letter Logo Tank Top
Okay, you are probably wondering what the heck is happening in the photo above. Well, let me explain. I was ridiculously excited to wear this I <3 Wayne's World t-shirt, or the Cotton Letter Logo Tank Top, but when I took it out of the packaging....I just laughed. It was so small. I mean, crazy small. It looked like it was designed for a doll rather than an actual human being. (And I did not order a small size, so the arrival of this teeny tiny top was extra surprising.) Sadly, this wouldn't actually fit onto my body, so I had no choice but to re-purpose. It now belongs to my stuffed lamb. Well, at least someone was able to wear it!
My experience with Zaful was a little hit and a little miss. While I love that grey t-shirt an awful lot, there were some definite sizing issues with the other items. Planning to order something yourself? My suggestion is to order much much larger than you think you need to. Otherwise, your stuffed lamb might wind up wearing your brand new summer wardrobe.
Are you a fan of Zaful? What do you think of these items?
